PROJECTS

Projects

Three connected areas of my work: applied AI, software development, and hardware engineering. Explore the decisions and implementation behind each.

01 / ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Applied AI & intelligent workflows

Bringing LLMs and voice-enabled tools into business processes, with the supporting software to make them useful.

COLDWELL BANKER REALTY / AI INTERN / SUMMER 2026

Pheme

Connecting AI, documents, and client communication.

At Coldwell Banker Realty, I evaluated business workflows for AI opportunities and developed and tuned LLM solutions for specific business use cases. My work focused on fitting AI to the task and connecting it with the surrounding business process.

As primary software developer on a three-person team, I built Pheme’s real estate document-preparation and client-communication workflows. Voice intake through Vapi and Twilio connects with Python and Next.js software, Supabase client-data storage, and PDF processing and delivery.

SUTTER HEALTH / IT CONSULTANT

AI for business operations

Analyzed AI implementations and operational workflows to identify opportunities to reduce manual work. Designed and tuned LLM solutions around specific business operations and organizational requirements.

02 / SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Applications, integrations & automation

Software engineering is a core part of my work: building application features, connecting APIs, managing data, and delivering tools people can use.

FULL-STACK DEVELOPMENT

Pheme’s application layer

Built the software behind Pheme with Python, Next.js, and Supabase. Implemented PDF field extraction and filling, client-data storage, and document delivery, alongside Twilio and Vapi communication integrations.

Documents & data

Connected client information with PDF preparation and delivery so the application could support the document workflow.

Connected services

Integrated communication tools with the application’s client-data and document features on a three-person team.

SUTTER HEALTH / PYTHON INTEGRATION

Medical-case notification workflow

Built a Python integration with the Dropbox API to notify a physician when new medical cases were uploaded. Deployed the workflow for limited use within the practice and reorganized the online file system to improve case organization and document retrieval.

03 / HARDWARE & EMBEDDED SYSTEMS

Hardware projects

I’ve built many hardware projects over the years, from computer assembly and mechanical work to electronics and embedded systems. The projects below highlight my recent work in custom PCB development, sensor integration, and hardware testing.

THE SYSTEM

Sensor operation

The scanner adapts a custom sensor platform around an HC-SR04 sensor mounted on a rotating shaft. Its design pairs angular position and distance readings with a Python 2D radar display and NeoPixel scan indicators.

THE ENGINEERING

PCB design & integration

Custom KiCad schematic and PCB layout, board assembly, soldering and rework, motor control, and hardware/software integration. The project documentation covers the electrical design, setup, and test procedures.

03 / EARLIER EMBEDDED PROJECT

Interactive Chess Companion

Stockfish integration with LED, motor, and audio feedback.

Connected a laptop-hosted Stockfish engine to ESP32-S3 hardware through a local JSON API polled by CircuitPython firmware. A 24-LED NeoPixel ring conveys move quality, a stepper arm represents game advantage, and a MAX98357A I2S amplifier supplies HAL-inspired audio cues.

Contributed KiCad schematics, PCB layout, and board assembly. Brought up power and motor-driver circuits, checked I2C behavior with an oscilloscope and Analog Discovery, and repaired a Hall-effect sensor routing issue with a jumper to an unused GPIO.

MECHANICAL DESIGN & VALIDATION

Medical-Device Research & Development

At Providence Medical Technology, I supported mechanical design, prototyping, and verification and validation testing for spinal implants and surgical instruments. The work combined SolidWorks design, hands-on testing, and engineering documentation.

PROJECT CONFIDENTIALITY

Project details are confidential under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). I can share the engineering skills and methods I used, while specific designs, results, and internal project materials remain confidential.
